As the rainy season approaches, the CDD may occasionally interrupt, cancel or change irrigation schedules.  If you have a question about irrigation or scheduling, your contact person is Lynn Jackson, Operations Manager, Inframark (formerly Severn Trent), at 813-434-7802.

The presentation was on January 31, 2018 and the event was attended by the Community Development District Board and many others on your behalf.  The picture shown is the CDD Board and the plaque that was presented.

We hope it helps makes you feel proud of your community, University Place!

Hello everyone!

We are proud to let you know, if you haven’t already heard, the University Place community has won the Sarasota Garden club award for Special Civic Beautification. It is quite an honor for our community.

A Message to the Residents of the University Place Community Development District

In response to the dialogue that has been running on the Next Door social media, the Board has published its comment in a document related to the prohibited use of “children playing in the street” signs, cones and other obstacles put in the streets.  Read the complete response here.

University Place Community Development Districtlocated in University Park, Florida, is a local, special purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes, as amended, and created on March 13, 2001 by ordinance of  Manatee County as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities. A Community Development District (CDD) provides the "solution" to Florida’s need to provide valuable community infrastructure generated by growth, ultimately without overburdening other governments and their taxpaying residents. CDDs represent a major advancement in Florida’s effort to manage its growth effectively and efficiently. This allows a community to establish higher construction standards, meanwhile providing a long-term solution to the operation and maintenance of the community’s facilities.

University Place CDD operates within the ethics provisions as outlined by the Florida Commission on Ethics.
